Many Aways is a reflection on leaving and the endless possibilities of starting again, which can be both freeing in its immediate novelty and confining in its eventual emptiness.

I wrote and recorded the majority of the songs on Many Aways in the winter of 2020 in my home. "Purity Apparition" was originally written for Sarah Knobel's art installation, "A Resemblance of Weather", but I thought it fit well with these other songs. "Years" was somewhat of an accident that evolved into something that I am very fond of. The rest of the songs were composed on the acoustic guitar, processed using digital/analog effects, and accompanied by the sounds of various objects.
